What we do
We provide cover to GP Practices across Gateshead’s Primary Care Networks with access to trained, skilled and experienced clinical and non-clinical sessional workforce on a flexible basis.

We have a dedicated team based at Head Office to manage the recruitment process, induction, and provide Flexible Workforce Hub members access to relevant training to ensure we meet the needs of our practices.
How does it work?
The service is available to each of the 25 GP practices across Gateshead for planned leave, temporary cover for existing vacancies and unplanned absences.

The Flexible Workforce Hub currently consists of:

Nurse Practitioners
Practices can request cover via our online rota system, Lantum, where hub members can select which sessions they are available to work.

How can I join?
We regularly recruit throughout the year via the NHS Jobs website.
Individuals registered with the Flexible Workforce Hub will be recruited on a zero-hour contract basis and can choose to work around their own commitments.
